W. Patrick Manus founded Sound Deposition Services, Inc., in late 2003. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Patrick operates the day to day activities for the entire company. He also serves on the company's board of directors. Patrick has 30 years' experience in sales and marketing with 20 years focused entirely in the legal industry. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo where he played football on an athletic scholarship. Patrick was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1976. Patrick is married and has two children. He is a member of the Better Business Bureau, STAR, California Court Reporting Association and The National Court Reporting Association. General Manager and Court Reporter Liaison

Karmen is Sound’s General Manager and Court Reporter Liaison. She brings twelve years of court reporting experience to our company, from production of transcripts to billing and case management. Most of our clients know Karmen as our calendaring manager, but she is also responsible for researching competitive rates around the country for large cases. Client Services Manager

Joe is Sound’s Client Services Manager. He is responsible for assisting clients in producing, locating and tracking down transcripts, ensuring delivery and helping you in any way necessary. Joe is instrumental in implementing Sounds GSA Contracts division. He also assists in Accounts Receivables and customer service. You may hear from him from time to time to follow up on service questions. Joe is a graduate of Washington State University and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Criminal Justice. National Production Manager

David is Sound’s National Production Manager. He receives, coordinates and produces all of our transcripts. He is responsible for all electronic deliverables to our clients. In addition to the legal aspect of our business, David also manages the creative side of Sound. He produces our business cards and marketing materials. Multi-Media and IT Services Manager

Spencer Benveniste works in-house, and runs our technology department, shooting videotaped depositions and managing the digitizing/synchronization process. Spencer’s training in the field developed from his years working in his family’s legal videography business. In his spare time, he also produces independent movies. Spencer can be reached at
